Katie was asked to the Hillcrest Homecoming Dance and this cake is the way she answered him back. He came and left a note and a chocolate cake mix on our door step for her. The note said, "If you want to go to the Homecoming Dance with me then make me a chocolate cake. If you don't make me a vanilla". This was Katie's first date to a school dance and I think I was more excited than she was! I loved going shopping with her for a dress and the cake was a lot of fun to make too. I delivered the cake to the school and the boy "Jacob" had to come and pick it up at the office. It was so cute!
Here is Katie before her date arrived. She is soooo beautiful! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. She is such an amazing young woman and I am so proud of her in so many ways.
Jacob and Katie ready to head off for a fun night of hanging out and dancing. They were so cute and the coursage that Jacob gave Katie was gorgeous. I made the boutinere that Katie gave to Jacob and when he got there to pick her up she wasn't sure how to pin it on him so I did it for her. They went with two other couples and for dinner they went to one of the other guys houses to eat. They hung out there until about 9:30 and then went to the dance. They missed getting pictures at the dance taken and I was so mad at them! But at least I got some pictures of them before they went to the dance. The little stinkers!!!
